The Hawaii Islands National Humpback Whale Sanctuary Advisory Council will meet virtually from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on November 18.
Advisory board members will address topics such as the offshore energy working group update, the board’s revised charger project, a resolution supporting the voluntary guidelines for humpback whales and other topics. Pacific Island Region Cultural Resources Coordinator Kalani Quiocho will introduce his new position to the board. In addition, the Native Hawaiian representative of the council will conduct a cultural training entitled “O Kanaloa Ke Akua”, get to know Kanaloanuiakea. The board will also answer questions from members and the public.
