This comes after Timothée recently spent three months filming the upcoming Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory Wonka prequel film.

The film entered the development stage in 2016, when the rights to the character were secured by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The project was confirmed as a prequel in 2018, and it was also revealed that artists such as Ryan Gosling and Donald Glover were considered for the role.

The chocolatier was then portrayed by Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005.

After a lengthy casting process, Timothée was confirmed to be in the film in May last year.

Other cast members in the upcoming film include Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Colman, and Rowan Atkinson.

Wonka centers on the character of the same name and will chronicle the years leading up to the opening of his famous chocolate factory.
