Performances by PHELIM Drew and the Drew House Band at the Whale Theater in Greystones have been postponed.
The shows, which were scheduled to take place on Tuesday December 28 and Wednesday December 29, will be postponed to a later date.
When they take place, Phelim will remember the legacy of his father Ronnie and the Dubliners with performances at the Whale Theater.
In these shows, Phelim will tell a few stories and sing some of the songs made famous by Ronnie, Luke, Barney, Ciaran and John.
He will be joined by Anto Drennan on guitar and Bernard Kavanagh on bass for performances at Greystones Hall.
“Growing up, I was always struck by the electricity generated by a concert given by The Dubliners. Looking back, I can clearly see that the group was exceptional not only because of the individual strength of the performers, but also because they were a force of nature. This energy and excitement, coupled with the unbridled glee of a Dubliners’ audience, resulted in an evening of entertainment that was more like a booming party where hosts and guests were in perfect harmony, ”said Phelim .
Both shows are sold out, but to get on the waiting list go to Whaletheater.ie or call the reservations desk on 01 201 0550.
